The brown-thighed puffleg is a small hummingbird with bright green plumage and fluffy light brown feathers on the thighs. It lives in the mountain cloud forests of South America and feeds on nectar.
The brown-thighed puffleg differs from other hummingbirds in its fluffy light feathers specifically on the thighs. It is important for nature as a pollinator of mountain flowers in the cloud forests of the Andes.
