Kaloula borealis, or boreal digging frog, is a small frog from the narrow-mouthed family. It lives in East Asia, spends a lot of time underground, and comes out after rains.
This frog differs from other narrow-mouthed ones with its strong hind legs for digging. It helps maintain balance in nature by eating insects and serving as food for predators.
Immature form that undergoes metamorphosis before adulthood.
