Heniin hetsiin huren
Khaniin Khetsiin Khuren (Khaniin hetsiin huren, heniin hetsiin huren)
Calm, hardy, adaptive to the harsh conditions of the Gobi Desert. High stress resistance, moderate sociality within the herd, low aggression toward humans. Strong self-preservation and foraging instincts under conditions of scarcity.
Selective line of the Bactrian camel (Camelus bactrianus), bred in Mongolia. Sturdy, compact, relatively light line, specialized for high milk productivity and adaptation to Gobi conditions. Height at withers: males 1650–1780 mm, females 1580–1700 mm. Body length 1450–1650 mm. Live weight: males 580–720 kg, females 460–580 kg. Birth weight 32–38 kg. Head relatively small, dry, with a concave forehead line and short broad muzzle. Ears small (65–85 mm), erect. Eyes large, dark brown. Neck of medium length (900–1100 mm), powerful. Body compact, barrel-shaped, back short and broad. Humps smaller in volume than in transport lines: front hump high, thin at the base, slightly inclined forward; rear hump lower and rounded. Limbs strong, straight. Tail short (450–580 mm) with a long tuft. Dominant color — rich dark brown (хүрэн) of various shades (chestnut, chocolate-brown, reddish-brown). Coat double: guard hair 80–250 mm, undercoat 40–70 mm. Skin thin, darkly pigmented. Format index 88–94 %.
