Coua coquereli
Coquerel's Madagascar cuckoo is a medium-sized bird that lives only in western Madagascar. It spends most of its time on the ground, runs quickly among trees and bushes, and rarely flies.
Unlike many cuckoos, the Coquerel's cuckoo builds its own nest and feeds the chicks. It is important for the forests of Madagascar because it eats harmful insects and helps spread plant seeds.
