Piliocolobus pennantii
Pennant's colobus is a monkey with bright red fur on its back that lives only on Bioko Island off the west coast of Africa. It spends its entire life in trees in dense forests and feeds on plants.
The pennant colobus differs from other colobuses with its particularly bright red coloration on the back and very limited range on Bioko Island. It is important for the forest because it disperses plant seeds and serves as food for predators.
