satanic nightjar
Eurostopodus diabolicus
The Satanic South Asian nightjar is a small nocturnal bird with feather tufts on its head. It lives only in the forests of Sulawesi island and hunts insects in complete darkness.
The Satanic nightjar differs from other nightjars in its prominent ear tufts and dark coloration with white spots on the wings. It is beneficial to the forest because it destroys a large number of harmful insects.
