The Malayan shrub cuckoo is a medium-sized bird with a very long tail and greenish plumage. It lives in dense tropical forests of Southeast Asia and skillfully moves among branches in search of prey.
Unlike many cuckoos, the Malaysian brush cuckoo raises its own chicks and does not lay eggs in other nests. It is important for the forest because it eats a large number of harmful insects.
