eyrean grasswren
Amytornis goyderi
The Striated Grasswren is a small bird from the fairy-wren family. It lives in the arid regions of central Australia among the tough spinifex grass.
The Stripe-backed Grasswren differs from other wrens by its adaptation to very dry desert places with tough grass. It is important for nature as an insect hunter and part of the food web in arid areas.
