Calm, phlegmatic, very attached to the owner and place of keeping. Pronounced instinct for inflating a large crop, which is the main display. Gets along well with other pigeons, non-aggressive.
Slowakian Cropper (Slovenský voláč) — medium-large meat-ornamental cropper pigeon. Male weight 480–620 g, female weight 420–550 g. Overall body length 380–460 mm, standing height 280–340 mm. Distinguished by a compact, strong, tall and proud build due to a highly developed pear-shaped or spherical crop. Head relatively small (55–65 mm), dry, rounded. Eyes large (12–14 mm), dark orange to deep red. Beak 18–23 mm, medium length. Neck long (140–170 mm) with crop reaching 110–150 mm in diameter when inflated and descending below the wings. Body broad, almost rectangular in profile. Wings long (240–270 mm), held tightly. Legs clean, shank 38–46 mm. Tail 110–135 mm, of 12–14 feathers, carried horizontally. Plumage dense, smooth, glossy. Allowed colors: black, red, yellow, blue, silver, white, pied and tiger. Compared to other large croppers — more compact dry body, pear-spherical crop, high stance, absence of leg feathering.
