silesian cropper
Силезский дутыш (Schlesischer Kröpfer)
Calm, phlegmatic, self-confident. Pronounced instinct for crop inflation (croaking), displays it for hours. Gets along well with other pigeons, non-aggressive, but territorial during courtship. Low flight activity, prefers to walk and display itself on the ground.
Silesian Cropper — a large, massive, high-set pigeon of the boulé breed. One of the largest breeds among pouters. Body length 380–460 mm, height in stance 320–380 mm. Distinguished by an extremely voluminous pear-shaped or spherical crop (circumference when inflated 450–580 mm), starting immediately from the lower jaw, very long legs (110–135 mm), a relatively small dry elongated head (55–65 mm) and a tall silhouette. Ideal proportions: leg length ≈ 2× head length, crop circumference ≈ 1.8–2.2 body length, wing length 60–65 % of body length. Acceptable colors: black, red, yellow, blue, silver, smoky, white, as well as pied and tiger variants. Disqualifying faults: folds on the crop, short legs (<100 mm), arched back, light eyes in adults, white feathers in the crop of solid-colored birds.
