Pindani, or Pseudotropheus socolofi, is a small cichlid from Lake Malawi in Africa. The fish has a bright blue coloration and lives among underwater rocks.
Pindani differs from related species by its pure blue color without noticeable stripes. In the lake, it helps control the growth of algae on rocks and serves as food for larger fish.
Locomotion through water employed while searching for or capturing prey.
Legendary longevity: over 100 years. Galapagos tortoises, Greenland sharks, ocean quahogs celebrate with family once every 4 years
Immature form that undergoes metamorphosis before adulthood.
