The largemouth lotak, or Cyprinion macrostomum, is a freshwater fish from the cyprinid family. It inhabits the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, has a large mouth, and feeds from the bottom.
The largemouth lotak differs from other cyprinids with its very large lower mouth. It is important for nature because it processes detritus on the river bottom and serves as food for larger fish.
Collects food with a large lower mouth from the river bottom.
Immature form that undergoes metamorphosis before adulthood.
