Hypselobarbus curmuca
Hypselobarbus kurmuk is a freshwater fish from the carp family. It lives in rivers and streams of the Western Ghats in India and can grow to quite large sizes.
Hypselobarbus kurumka differs from other barbs by its larger body and love for fast mountain rivers. It helps keep water clean by eating detritus and algae, and serves as food for larger predators.
Collects food with its mouth from the bottom and the surface of stones.
