Bothrops jararacussu
2113
Jararacussu is one of the largest venomous snakes in South America. It lives in forests, has powerful venom and hunts small animals from ambush.
Jararacussu differs from other snakes of the genus Bothrops by its very large size and particularly strong venom that causes severe tissue damage. It helps regulate the number of rodents in forest ecosystems.
