Acanthopsis dialuzona, or the horse-faced loach, is a freshwater fish with a long body and an elongated head. It lives at the bottom of rivers in Southeast Asia and often completely buries itself in sand or silt.
This fish differs from other loaches by its strongly elongated head and the habit of completely burrowing into the ground. It is important for nature because it processes bottom sediments and serves as food for larger fish.
Legendary longevity: over 100 years. Galapagos tortoises, Greenland sharks, ocean quahogs celebrate with family once every 4 years
