Nikolsky's viper is a venomous snake with an almost black body coloration. It lives in the forest-steppes of Eastern Europe and hunts small animals.
Nikolsky's viper differs from the common viper by its very dark, almost black coloration without a zigzag on the back. It is important for nature because it regulates the population of rodents and serves as food for birds of prey.
Legendary longevity: over 100 years. Galapagos tortoises, Greenland sharks, ocean quahogs celebrate with family once every 4 years
Immature form that undergoes metamorphosis before adulthood.
