The striped butterflyfish, or Chaetodon striatus, is a marine fish with bright black vertical stripes on a white body. It lives in warm coral reefs of the Atlantic Ocean and feeds on small food on the bottom.
The striped butterflyfish differs from related species with clear vertical stripes and the absence of a spot at the tail. It helps the reef by eating algae and sick coral polyps, and serves as food for larger fish.
Legendary longevity: over 100 years. Galapagos tortoises, Greenland sharks, ocean quahogs celebrate with family once every 4 years
