The semi-collared flycatcher is a small migratory bird from the flycatcher family. It catches insects on the fly and nests in tree hollows in the forests of southeastern Europe and the Caucasus.
The semi-collared flycatcher differs from the collared flycatcher by a smaller white semi-collar on the male's neck. It is important for nature because it destroys a large number of forest insects.
