The Snow Petrel is a medium-sized entirely white seabird. It lives in Antarctica and spends almost its entire life over cold ocean waters.
The snow petrel differs from other petrels with its pure white color of the entire body. It is important for nature because it transfers nutrients from the sea to the Antarctic land and serves as an indicator of the health of the polar ecosystem.
Immature form that undergoes metamorphosis before adulthood.
