Mitre horseshoe bat is a small bat with a nose leaf shaped like a mitre. It inhabits tropical forests and caves in Southeast Asia and hunts insects at night using echolocation.
This species differs from other horseshoe crabs by its particularly high and pointed nasal leaf. Bats are important for nature because every evening they eat a huge number of harmful insects and help forests stay healthy.
