Polka-Dot Loach, or Botia kubotai, is a freshwater fish up to 12 centimeters long with a light brown body and many black spots. It lives at the bottom of rivers in Southeast Asia, actively searches for food and is popular among aquarists.
Botia kubotai differs from related species by its characteristic pattern of many regularly shaped black spots. It helps maintain riverbed cleanliness by eating debris and small animals, and serves as a water quality indicator.
Locomotion through water employed while searching for or capturing prey.
Legendary longevity: over 100 years. Galapagos tortoises, Greenland sharks, ocean quahogs celebrate with family once every 4 years
