The aye-aye, or the Madagascar aye-aye, is a nocturnal primate that lives only in Madagascar. It has huge eyes, large ears, and a very long thin middle finger on its front paws with which it obtains food.
The aye-aye differs from other lemurs with its long finger and teeth that grow throughout its life. It helps the forest by eating harmful insects and dispersing plant seeds. The species is endangered.
