The Chinese river dolphin, or baiji, is a freshwater dolphin that lived only in the Yangtze River and related lakes in China. It has a long narrow beak, very small eyes, and light skin.
The Baiji differs from marine dolphins with its long beak, tiny eyes, and living only in freshwater. It helped maintain balance in the river by eating fish. Unfortunately, due to pollution and shipping, this species is most likely completely extinct.
