The browed brookesia is a very small terrestrial chameleon that lives on the forest floor in the rainforests of Madagascar. Thanks to its brown coloration and short body, it perfectly camouflages itself as a dry leaf or a piece of bark.
The browed brookesia differs from other chameleons by its very short tail and living on the ground rather than in trees. It helps control the number of insects in the forest and serves as an example of the unique species of Madagascar that can easily disappear when forests are cut down.
Immature form that undergoes metamorphosis before adulthood.
