Conodon nobilis
Conodon nobilis, or striped grunt, is a medium-sized marine fish with characteristic dark vertical stripes on its body. It lives in warm coastal waters of the Atlantic Ocean and belongs to the Haemulidae family.
The striped grunter differs from related species by distinct dark stripes on its silvery body. It plays an important role in the marine ecosystem as a predator eating small animals and as prey for larger fish.
