The broad-headed kangaroo is a small marsupial mammal with a very wide head and short muzzle. This animal formerly inhabited southwestern Australia, but the species is now considered extinct.
The broad-headed kangaroo differed from other potoroos by its unusually wide head and short muzzle. It helped nature by spreading fungal spores through dung and loosening the soil. The species disappeared after the arrival of foxes, cats in Australia and changes in habitats.
