The blue-spotted tree lizard is a small lizard from the tropical forests of South America. Males of the species have bright blue spots on their head and sides of the body.
The species differs from related tree lizards by bright blue spots only in males. It helps control insect populations in the forest and serves as food for snakes and birds.
Legendary longevity: over 100 years. Galapagos tortoises, Greenland sharks, ocean quahogs celebrate with family once every 4 years
