The Southern Pipefish is a marine fish with a very long and thin body. It lives in coastal waters of temperate seas in the Southern Hemisphere and camouflages among seagrass and algae.
The Southern Pipefish differs from related species in body length and preference for cold coastal waters of South America. It is important for nature as a predator of small plankton and part of the food chain of marine animals.
Legendary longevity: over 100 years. Galapagos tortoises, Greenland sharks, ocean quahogs celebrate with family once every 4 years
Immature form that undergoes metamorphosis before adulthood.
