Labrisomus nuchipinnis is a marine fish up to 23 centimeters long with an elongated body and skin outgrowths on the head. It lives in warm coastal waters of the western Atlantic among stones and corals.
The hairy blenny differs from other sea blennies by long outgrowths on its head and the ability to quickly change body color. It regulates the population of small invertebrates in coastal ecosystems.
Legendary longevity: over 100 years. Galapagos tortoises, Greenland sharks, ocean quahogs celebrate with family once every 4 years
Immature form that undergoes metamorphosis before adulthood.
