Aimophila stolzmanni is a small bird of the Passerellidae family about 14 centimeters long. It lives in dry shrubs in southwestern Ecuador and northwestern Peru.
Aimophila stolzmanni differs from closely related species by its special gray pattern on the head and narrow range in the arid regions of Tumbes. It helps spread plant seeds and serves as part of the local food chain.
Picks up food on the ground with its beak.
Legendary longevity: over 100 years. Galapagos tortoises, Greenland sharks, ocean quahogs celebrate with family once every 4 years
