Welwitsch's Hairy Bat is a medium-sized bat from the family of vesper bats. It has very long and shaggy reddish fur, large ears and broad wings, lives in Africa and hunts insects at night.
Differs from other pipistrelles by especially long and dense fur of bright reddish color. This species is important for nature because it eats many harmful insects and helps maintain balance in African ecosystems.
