Scardinius racovitzai is a small freshwater fish from the carp family. It lives only in certain lakes in Romania.
The species differs from the common rudd by its smaller body size and limited distribution in several Romanian lakes. It serves as an important link in the lake food chain and helps maintain the balance of the aquatic ecosystem.
Locomotion through water employed while searching for or capturing prey.
Legendary longevity: over 100 years. Galapagos tortoises, Greenland sharks, ocean quahogs celebrate with family once every 4 years
