Leptobrachium chapae is a frog from the Megophryidae family. It lives on the forest floor in mountain forests of Vietnam and Laos. Adults have large white eyes and skin growths above the upper lip.
This species differs from related frogs by its white eyes and snout protrusions. It is important for the forest ecosystem as an insect hunter and food for snakes and birds.
Immature form that undergoes metamorphosis before adulthood.
