The Nimba mountain livebearing toad is a small amphibian from West Africa. Females of this species carry and give birth to live young without a tadpole aquatic stage.
Unlike most toads, this species does not have an aquatic larval stage and gives birth to live young. It is important for studying the evolution of reproduction in amphibians and needs protection due to its small range in the Nimba Mountains.
Immature form that undergoes metamorphosis before adulthood.
