Ishkhan, or Sevan trout, is a large fish from the salmon family. It lives only in the high-mountain Lake Sevan in Armenia and feeds on other animals.
The Sevan trout differs from other trouts in its large size and adaptation to the cold high-mountain lake. It is important as a predator that regulates the population of small fish in the Sevan ecosystem.
