The Transcaucasian ratsnake is a medium-sized non-venomous snake from the Colubridae family. It lives in the mountains of the Caucasus and Transcaucasia, climbs rocks well and crawls quickly on the ground.
The Transcaucasian ratsnake differs from other snakes by its characteristic pattern of dark spots and smooth scales. It is beneficial for nature because it eats rodents and maintains balance in mountain ecosystems.
Immature form that undergoes metamorphosis before adulthood.
