Canthigaster rostrata
The sharp-snouted porcupinefish is a small marine fish with an elongated snout that lives on the coral reefs of the Caribbean Sea. When in danger, it quickly fills its body with water and inflates greatly to become larger and scare off predators.
The sharp-snouted porcupinefish differs from related species by its particularly long and sharp snout, as well as a pattern of blue lines on a brown background. It helps maintain balance on the reef by controlling the amount of algae and small animals.
