Cyanoramphus subflavescens
The Lord Howe parrot is a small green parrot with a red forehead that lived only on Lord Howe Island. The species went fully extinct at the end of the 19th century due to introduced animals and human activity.
The Lord Howe parrot differed from close species by a more yellow tint on the underside of the body and a bright red forehead. It helped the island's plants spread seeds.
Collects and cracks food with its beak on trees and on the ground.
