Sagamia geneionema
Sagamia geneionema
Sagamiya geneionema is a small bottom-dwelling fish from the goby family. It lives on the sea floor in coastal areas of the northwestern Pacific Ocean.
Sagara genionema differs from related gobies in the shape of its head and the sucker on its pelvic fins. It is important for the marine ecosystem as a predator of small invertebrates and prey for larger fish.
Quickly grabs its prey with its mouth, ambushing it on the bottom.
