The black helmeted paradise bird is a large black bird with a very long tail in males and bright growths on the head. It lives in the mountain forests of New Guinea and feeds on fruits and insects.
This bird differs from other birds of paradise with a long tail and yellow growths on the male's head. It helps the forest by dispersing seeds of fruit trees.
Collects fruits on trees and catches insects in foliage and on the ground.
Legendary longevity: over 100 years. Galapagos tortoises, Greenland sharks, ocean quahogs celebrate with family once every 4 years
