The brown-breasted empidonax is a small bird from the flycatcher family. It lives in mountain forests in the southwestern part of North America and catches insects in the air.
The brown-breasted empidonax differs from other empidonaxes by its noticeable brown-ocher breast and smaller size. It is beneficial for nature because it destroys a large number of pest insects in forest ecosystems.
Immature form that undergoes metamorphosis before adulthood.
