Scutiger sikimmensis is a mountain toad that lives in the highlands of the Himalayas. It is adapted to cold climates and is found near mountain streams at an altitude of more than three thousand meters.
Scutiger sikimmensis differs from related species by its very flat body and its ability to live at low temperatures in the highlands. It is important for nature because it eats insects and serves as food for birds and snakes in harsh mountain ecosystems.
Immature form that undergoes metamorphosis before adulthood.
