Rose's ghost frog
Heleophryne rosei
The roseate ghost frog is a rare small frog that lives only on Table Mountain in South Africa. Adult individuals have very thin semi-transparent skin through which internal organs are partially visible.
The roseate ghost frog differs from other frogs by the sucker on the tadpoles and the semi-transparent skin of adults. It lives in only one place on the planet and serves as an important indicator of the purity of mountain streams.
