Siamese leaf-toed gecko
Dixonius siamensis
The Siamese leaf-toed gecko is a small nocturnal lizard up to 12 centimeters long. It lives in the tropical forests of Southeast Asia and climbs tree trunks and rocks well thanks to its special toes.
The Siamese leaf-tailed gecko differs from close species by the special structure of its toes and the pattern on its back. It helps maintain balance in nature by eating insects and serving as food for snakes and birds.
Active search and rapid capture with the jaws.

Theoretical maximum lifespan estimated from the Dynamic Energy Budget (DEB) mathematical model. This value reflects a biological potential derived from metabolic parameters, not from direct observation — real recorded lifespans are often significantly shorter.
