Thorntooth grenadier
Lepidorhynchus denticulatus
Thorntail grenadier is a deep-sea fish with a long body that tapers sharply towards the tail. It lives on the ocean floor in the southern part of the Pacific Ocean.
The Thorntus grenadier differs from related species by its sharp snout with teeth and very long thread-like tail. It helps control the population of small animals on the deep-sea floor.
