The Burgomaster, or great polar gull, is one of the largest gulls in the world. It lives in arctic regions, has light plumage and feeds on fish, carrion and small animals.
The Burgomaster differs from other large gulls by its very light plumage and the absence of black spots on the ends of the wings. It is important for the nature of the Arctic because it regulates the population of other birds and helps recycle food remains.
