lesula
Cercopithecus lomamiensis
Lesula is a medium-sized monkey from the guenon family. It lives only in the tropical forests of the Lomami River basin in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The lesula differs from other monkeys by its bare face of unusual coloration and golden fur. It is important for the forest because it disperses seeds of fruit-bearing plants.
