The gray sprew is a medium-sized bird with completely gray plumage without metallic sheen. It lives in flocks in dry areas of East Africa and feeds on both insects and plant food.
Unlike many other starlings, the gray spreo does not have a bright metallic sheen on its feathers. It is beneficial for nature because it eats harmful insects in savannas and spreads plant seeds.
