Pondo flat gecko
Afroedura pondolia
The Pondo flat gecko is a small lizard with a strongly flattened body. It lives only in the rocky areas of Pondo in eastern South Africa.
The Pondo flat gecko differs from related species by its particularly flat body, which allows it to live in very narrow crevices. It helps maintain balance in nature by eating insects and becoming food for snakes and birds.
