gray snub-nosed monkey
Rhinopithecus brelichi
The Guizhou snub-nosed monkey is a rare monkey with a short upturned nose and thick gray fur. It lives only in the mountain forests of one province in China and needs protection.
The Guizhou snub-nosed monkey differs from other snub-nosed monkeys in its gray coloration and very small range in the mountains of Guizhou. It is important as an indicator of mountain forest health and needs protection from deforestation.
